Who am I?

Holly Cinnamon is an actor, musician, yoga teacher and Alexander-Technique trained embodiment educator based in New York City and Toronto. Holly is a proud Registered Somatic Movement Educator and Registered Somatic Movement Therapist with the International Somatic Movement Education & Therapy Association (ISMETA). She is also a proud teaching member of Alexander Technique International. She completed her YogaWorks 300-hr Teacher Training in 2013 and also certified in Yin Yoga through Paul Grilley. She completed the Actor’s Secret Training with Betsy Polatin, combining Alexander Technique with Somatic Experiencing and breath work. She was the resident Alexander Technique and yoga teacher in the Opera Nuova summer training program from 2018-2023; she interned and taught with Belinda Mello of NYC’s AT Motion studio from 2017-2019, before founding her own teaching studio Teaching Presence in 2020.
As an actor, Holly has been in numerous films and television shows, most notably playing the Deputy Press Secretary in Kathryn Bigelow’s recent Netflix feature A House of Dynamite, playing a five-episode character arc as Julie Barnes in Season 3 of Marvel’s Daredevil (now on Disney+) and guest starring on Alert:Missing Person’s Unit on Fox (episode 306 now on Hulu). She has an MFA in Musical Theatre from the Boston Conservatory at Berklee School of Music, where she also completed her Alexander Technique training, and she has numerous regional theatre credits (including playing Anne of Green Gables in Anne & Gilbert on PEI) and appeared Off-Broadway in Dear Jane. She also has an undergraduate degree in theatre from the University of Alberta and trained in the Acting program of the National Theatre School of Canada. Holly also writes, performs, records and produces original indie queer dance-pop music under her own label, Female Gayze Music.
Holly is passionate about coaching and supporting both performers and people of all occupations, whatever your goals are. From pain reduction caused by repetitive stress or postural issues, to embodiment, energy and wellness improvement, to increasing your presence and success with your auditions and self-tapes, Holly can bring together all of her tools and training to assist you in improving your life and your success and your sense of ease and embodiment.
